About the Role

Strategic Planning and Budgeting: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and public relations strategy aligned with the firm's goals and objectives. Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities. Develop a plan and corresponding budget to achieve yearly goals. Collaboration with the leadership and business development teams is key to alignment of corporate goals and a primary responsibility of this role.

Team Mentoring and Collaboration: Manage, train, and mentor marketing team and manage outside consultants. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide support and ensure that marketing and PR objectives match business needs. Close collaboration with the President and Principals is critical to success in this role.

Brand Management: Maintain and enhance the firm's brand identity through consistent messaging and visual representation. Oversee the production of marketing collateral including proposals, qualifications, presentations, advertisements, and other material to ensure alignment with brand guidelines and enhance visibility of the firm.

Digital Marketing: Manage the creation and maintenance of a branded firm website. Manage digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including social media, email, newsletters, and online advertising. Analyze campaign performance metrics to optimize strategies and improve ROI.

Lead Generation: Working with the VP of Business Development, execute lead generation objectives and tactics am to drive business development efforts. Work closely with teams to ensure marketing efforts align with lead conversion goals.

Analytics & ROI: Measure and analyze marketing, public relations & business development performance and ROI to optimize strategies.

Event Management: Working with other members of the marketing team, plan and coordinate events, conferences, and sponsorships to enhance brand visibility and engagement. Evaluate the success of events and recommend improvements for future initiatives.

Public Relations: Cultivate relationships with media outlets and industry influencers. Develop and distribute press releases, articles, and other materials to enhance the firm's public relations efforts. Seek out speaking opportunities and PR opportunities for staff.

Firm Representative: Represent the firm to clients, peer organizations, and business associates, and communicate effectively on capabilities and current projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in marketing management within the architecture or design industry (preferred). Working knowledge in the AEC Industry.

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing trends and tools.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Strategic thinker with a track record of implementing successful marketing initiatives.

  • Proficiency in marketing software and analytics tools.

  • Ability to multi-task. Deadline driven with good time management skills.

  • Recommended: CPSM certification (or pursuit of certification)
