About the Role
Overview:
As a Marketing Proposal Specialist, you'll play a key role in shaping our voice and vision, collaborating with teams across the firm to create compelling and strategic content. We're looking for someone who is not only skilled but also passionate about storytelling, design, and connecting the dots between our work and the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Proposal Process: Lead coordination of proposals, qualifications, presentations, and business case materials. You'll manage a collaborative process that draws on input from multiple practices, departments, and consultants, working closely with others to develop content that is both strategic and aligned with our brand’s vision. Your goal will be to create proposals that stand out while meeting established guidelines and deadlines.
Create Marketing Content: Develop and curate content for a variety of brand initiatives, including project pages, resumes, brochures, newsletters, articles, presentations and award submittals. You'll ensure that every piece of content reflects our brand’s standards and resonates with our audience.
Keep our Databases Updated: Maintain and organize our CRM database, ensuring that our information is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to those who need it.
Organize & Maintain Marketing Content: Continuously update and refine our content library, aligning new and existing materials with new/updated information and brand standards.
Prepare Interview Teams: Provide coaching and logistical support for interview teams, helping them to prepare and present their best selves.
Conduct Industry Research: Conduct market and industry research to inform and enhance our marketing and sales strategies, ensuring we stay ahead of clients and opportunities.
Support Events: Assist in organizing client events, trade shows, and partnering events, coordinating logistics to ensure smooth and successful execution.
Coordinate Visual Storytelling: Develop or manage the creation of graphic design elements for marketing content, ensuring that our visuals are as strong as our words.
Lead Photoshoots: Work with project teams, photographers, consultants, and clients to oversee the coordination and execution of project photoshoots, ensuring that our visuals tell our project stories effectively.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Writing, Journalism, Business, Public Relations, or Architecture/Engineering/Design Profession.
Experience: 5-10 years of relevant marketing experience, with a preference for those familiar with the A/E/C industry.
Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of A/E/C industry-specific terminology and processes.
Critical Thinking & Creativity: Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to simplify complex information in both written and graphic form.
Writing & Editing: Exceptional writing and proofreading skills, with an eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
Database Management: Experience with database management systems (Cosential and Vision a plus).
Flexibility & Time Management: Ability to juggle multiple deadlines, prioritizing importance, urgency, and quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Adobe Creative Suite Proficiency: Additional mastery in any/all Adobe Creative Suite programs (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, etc).
Design Skills: Extensive graphic design experience demonstrating how visual elements enhance communication.
Writing & Editing: Experience in writing professional articles, interviews, press releases, blogs, and social media content.
Social Media: Experience in crafting strategy, messaging, and graphics for professional social media profiles across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
