From our team to yours… Wishing You a Delightful Holiday Season and a Joyous New Year! ‘Twas the weeks before break, when all through Kahn, Tummies were rumbling, not a cookie to be found. At last the cookies were placed on the plate with great care, In hopes that the winner would soon be there. Employees were gathered from far and wide, To taste so many cookies and then decide. It soon became clear, we are happy to recite, Winner of the Great Kahn Bake Off was Steve White!

We are pleased to share the recipe for this year’s winning cookies below – they are delicious! 

Recipe for Kahn’s Krinkles Ingredients COOKIE 1 cup flour ½ tsp baking powder ¼ tsp baking soda ½ tsp kosher salt ½ cup cocoa powder ¾ cup brown sugar ¼ cup granulated sugar ¼ cup unsalted butter 2 large eggs ½ cup chocolate chips ½ cup powdered sugar TOPPING 300 g dark chocolate bar Candy canes Instructions In a medium bowl whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together. Set aside. In a second bowl whisk brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cocoa powder together. Melt the butter and add to the sugar mixture. Whisk in each egg until well combined. Chop the chocolate chips and mix in. Add the flour mixture to the sugar mixture and fold until just combined. Cover the dough and chill for at least one hour. Heat the oven to 350° F and line two cookie sheets with parchment paper. Using a tablespoon, scoop out a spoonful of dough and roll into a ball. Roll the dough ball in the powdered sugar and place on the parchment paper. Space cookies at least 2 inches apart on pan. Place one cookie sheet in the middle of the oven and bake for 10 minutes. Once cooled, melt the dark chocolate bar in a bowl and dip the cookies in the melted chocolate. Crush the candy canes and sprinkle on the tops of the cookies while the chocolate is still melted.
