Since 1998, Kahn has been an active design, engineering, and planning partner in the restoration and redevelopment of Detroit’s international riverfront. Currently, our team is working on the Uniroyal promenade which will connect the riverwalk to Belle Isle.
Earlier Kahn projects include the Civic Center Promenade, Hart Plaza Underground Railway Monument, GM Plaza Promenade, GM Riverfront Garden Extension, Watermark Extension, Former Holcim Property, Aretha Franklin Plaza, Mt Elliott Park Pavilion and Splash pad, and the Gabriel Richard Park Sustainable Parking Field.
In an interview with MLive, Mark Wallace, President and CEO of the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, explained, “Our vision has always been to transform Detroit’s international riverfront into an accessible world-class gathering place for all. It’s an honor that our city’s riverfront is being recognized nationally among the greatest riverwalks in the country.”
We are honored to remain a partner in this incredible project that continues to enrich our hometown.
So click on over and vote now. Polls are open until Monday, February 15.
